Rosehip oil can have many useful properties for the skin. It is an astringent. It is also said to aid and speed up skin and tissue healing and reduce the appearance of scars and wrinkles.

Rosa Mosqueta, Rosa Moschata or more commonly Musk Rose has long been cultivated and it is unclear if this rose was ever wild. The cultivation of this rose has led to creation of various other important breeds such as Damask Rose.
