Wholesale Classic Cushion Cover
  • An easy homeware range to build into a coordinated display – Mix patterns, textures and complementary colours to create a strong cushion collection without every design looking the same.

  • More than a basic printed cushion cover – The range includes geometric patterns, woven textures, raised detailing and stronger statement designs, giving retailers plenty of visual variety within one wholesale family.

  • Useful shapes for layered cushion styling – Square, lumbar and larger jumbo-style covers allow customers to combine different proportions on sofas, beds and chairs rather than buying a row of identical cushions.

  • Works across several interior styles – Neutral geometric designs sit comfortably beside contemporary and minimalist homeware, while stronger mustard, burgundy and multicoloured patterns suit bohemian and more eclectic collections.

  • Made in India with cotton used across much of the range – A useful trade line for gift shops, homeware retailers and lifestyle stores looking for Indian-made textile products with plenty of texture and pattern.

  • Good cross-selling potential – Cushion inners are available separately, while the colours and woven designs sit naturally alongside rugs, throws and other textile home accessories.

Cushion covers are one of those deceptively simple products where texture makes a considerable difference. A flat printed design can look good from across the room, but many of the cushion covers use woven patterns, raised knots, heavier textures or geometric detailing that becomes much more apparent when the customer actually picks one up.

The range has also grown well beyond the rather simple description that used to sit on this page. Alongside the smaller classic geometric covers are newer designs such as Hidden Rainbow, Hippie Knot, Marigold Loom, Mustard Diamonds, Urban Tribal and Neutral Geo Creme, taking the collection from restrained monochrome patterns through to warmer and more colourful interiors.

There is a practical reason for offering different cushion shapes as well. A sofa dressed entirely with one square cushion can look rather regimented. Mixing a standard square with a rectangular lumbar cushion and a larger statement cushion gives customers a much easier way to build the layered look they see in interiors magazines and room sets.

Several current designs are therefore offered across square, rectangular lumbar and larger jumbo formats, although availability naturally changes as the range develops.

The covers are supplied without cushion inners, which gives retailers a little more flexibility. Customers replacing existing covers may not need another inner at all, while those starting from scratch can buy one separately. Ancient Wisdom also stocks matching cushion inners, making the two products an obvious cross-sell.

One small but useful merchandising trick: don't display every cushion completely flat. Put an inner into a few of the strongest designs and let customers see the texture and finished shape properly. The rest can then be stocked folded behind them. It saves space and does the product rather more justice.

Are cushion inners included with the covers? +

No. These are cushion covers only, so the inner needs to be purchased separately if the customer does not already have one. Ancient Wisdom also stocks cushion inners that can be sold alongside the range.

Are all of the cushion covers the same size? +

No. The current family includes several formats, including standard square covers, rectangular lumbar styles and larger jumbo-style covers. Always check the individual product specification when matching a cover with an inner rather than relying on the old family description.

Are these mainly neutral cushion covers? +

Not any more. Some of the established styles use grey, cream, beige and black, but the wider current range also includes mustard, burgundy and brighter multicoloured designs. This makes it possible to stock both understated and stronger statement pieces within the same collection.

Who is most likely to buy this range? +

It has broad appeal for customers refreshing a sofa, bedroom or occasional chair without replacing the furniture itself. The more restrained geometric styles suit customers looking for easy-to-coordinate home accessories, while the more textured and colourful designs give independent gift and lifestyle shops something less ordinary to offer.

How should I merchandise the different shapes? +

Show them together rather than separating every size. Combining a larger square, a standard cushion and a lumbar shape demonstrates how customers can layer them at home and helps explain why the different formats exist.

What naturally cross-sells with the cushion covers? +

Cushion inners are the most obvious companion product. Rugs, throws and other Indian textile homeware also work well where colours or patterns complement one another, particularly when merchandising a complete room or colour story.

Should customers expect every textile piece to look absolutely identical? +

Small variations in woven textile products can occur, particularly where texture and raised detailing form part of the design. Customers should judge the overall pattern, colour and character of the piece rather than expect the clinical uniformity of a printed synthetic furnishing.

Can these cushion covers be used outdoors? +

The older family description suggests outdoor use, but the current product information does not establish these as outdoor-rated or weather-resistant textiles. I would therefore sell them primarily as indoor soft furnishings unless a particular product specification states otherwise.
