Our journey takes us to the outskirts of Yogyakarta, Java, where a vast artisan workshop hums with creativity. Here, skilled teams of artisans dedicate their expertise to casting these magnificent pieces. It's a testament to their efficiency and skill that, on average, one artisan can complete the casting of 1-2 statues per day, with other skilled artisans then taking over for the detailed finishing touches. But how exactly are these large Buddha statues brought to life? It's a fascinating multi-stage process that blends traditional artistry with modern material science:

1. The Power of Specialized Materials:

Unlike traditional heavy stone or metal statues, our range utilizes a special blend of concrete and fibre resin. This innovative composite is the secret to their enhanced durability and surprisingly lightweight nature. It allows for intricate detailing while ensuring the statues can withstand the elements and handling.

2. Expert Casting Techniques:

The artisans employ advanced casting techniques to form each statue with precision. While the ancient lost-wax method is fascinating for bronze, for our specific blend of concrete and fibre resin, specialized molding processes are used. This ensures consistency and the ability to reproduce the intricate details of the original designs. Each piece is formed layer by layer, to achieve its impressive scale and form.

3. Careful Finishing and Detailing:

Once the casting is complete, the true artistry shines through in the finishing stages. Each statue undergoes a thorough process of refinement, including:

Polishing and Smoothing: Achieving that perfect, polished finish.

Realistic Finishes: Expert application of techniques to give the statues a truly convincing metallic or stone appearance, adding to their authentic appeal.

Intricate Details: Every feature, from the peaceful expression of the Buddha to the folds of the robes, is carefully detailed by hand, ensuring a high level of artistry.

4. Secure Packaging for Safe Arrival & Efficient Shipping:

We understand that these are significant investments. That's why each statue is securely packed on individual wooden pallets, carefully wrapped in plastic with foam padding for maximum protection during transit. This ensures your piece arrives in pristine condition, ready to transform your space.

Shipping these large pieces efficiently is key to making them accessible. Their cubic size means the cost of shipping can often outweigh the product's actual value if sent alone. To avoid wasted space and ensure cost-effectiveness, we optimize our container shipments. A single container can usually fit around 70 of these big statues, and its journey from Indonesia to Europe costs approximately €6000. The loading process itself is an extensive operation, typically taking a dedicated team a full day to carefully pack everything. This planning allows us to consolidate other smaller products within the same container, maximizing efficiency and minimizing overall shipping expenses.
