Get to Know Local Winery in Western Slovakia
Here at AWGifts Europe are trying to help local businesses to grow and also we do love a glass of good wine. Therefore we went to explore some wineries in Western part of Slovakia near our distribution centre and we've found a lovely winery owned by Mr. Milan Chudy.
The history of this wine-growing company began to be written by Mr. Milan Chudý in the autumn of 2000 by producing his first wine in the village of Vinohrady nad Váhom. The little village lying on the left side of the Váh River, with its hilly alpine-relief relief from its vineyards, has its ideal southwestern slopes for vineyard production.
The wine biography begins to be written annually in spring in the vineyard. The basic philosophy is to deliver the absolutely healthy and ripe grapes at an optimum load. What is impossible in large-scale production in small farms is a reality. In the beginning there is a free and no-limit mind, which allows the knowledge to go forward.
Our vineyards are lawn, cut into one horizontal trawl, during the vegetation are handmade works such as pedunculation, stripping of the straps and shortening letorastov. The vineyards are chemically treated and their annual goal is to limit this activity to six sprays for vegetation.
From 2015, all vineyards are included in the Agroenvironmental - Climate Action RDP SR 2014-2020 and managed under integrated production mode.
At present we manage 6 ha of our own vineyards in the variety:
Rulandské biele, Chardonnay, Muškát Ottonel, Rizling rýnský, Tramín červený, Hetera, Rimava, Danube, Hron, Nitria and Cabernet Sauvignon.
